Did you know? The domestication of horse started about 6.000 years ago. There are four main types of horse: thoroughbred, warmblood, cold-blooded, and pony. Due to the cross-breeding of these four types, there are more than 200 species of horse around the world. Horses below 137 cms are called ponies, those between 137 and 147 cms are small horses, whereas those above 147 cms are large horses.
Watch it! The horses are able to express several things with their voices and their body movements. They can threaten with their receding ears and widely open mouth. Their voices are very variable, neighing can signify happiness, cheerfulness and sadness as well.
