Did you know? This animal can only be found in the wild in the Gobi desert. It perfectly accommodated to extreme living conditions; during winter it endures -29 degree and during summertime +38 degrees. It is able to drink 100 litres of water at once.
Watch it! Camels differ from other ungulate in a way, as their body weight does not rest on their hoof, rather on their paws and only the frontal rim of their hoofs lies on the ground. In winter its body is covered with thick, dense fur which is moulted during spring.
Habitat: Bactrian camel can be found as domestic animal almost all of Asia
Spread: It lives in the wild only in Mongolia.
